Pre-event

   

            In order to strengthen the most basic premises of ICMedia 2012, Integration and Improvement, a few preparatory events were idealized.             

  

           On November the 29th, 2011, the ICMedia Cases & Open Issues took place together with the IEEE Intl. Workshop on Information Forensics and Security (WIFS´11) at Mabu Thermas and Resort, in Iguaçu Falls, Brazil.

              Organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), WIFS is one of the most important scientific events in the world and allows the exchange of experiences and knowledge directed at multimedia evidence analysis and information security. WIFS'11 included lectures, tutorials, workshops, poster and article presentations. Attended the event 60 foreign researchers and 56 brazilian forensic experts.

   

              The ICMedia Cases & Open Issues event took place together with WIFS'11 and made possible for Brazilian Forensic Experts to share their experiences with the academic community, especially regarding to open issues. Theses issues represent challenges to be faced by scientists in order to develop knowledge able to result in technical innovation, improvement in methods and solutions in the Forensic and Security areas.
